Undergraduate Research Assistant
University of Miami
Gabrielle Ménard is an undergraduate student studying marine science and biology at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (RSMAS). She currently lives in Bettendorf, Iowa and was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, but has moved about 12 times in between; although she has lived in Miami longer than either Iowa or Ottawa. After taking several courses in marine conservation, she became more interested in the effects of anthropogenic stressors on marine life and currently works as a research assistant in the Grosell lab. She is heavily involved in the University of Miami’s Marine Mammal Rescue Team and plans to pursue a career path in marine mammal conservation and research.
