Tori McGruer received her B.S. from Northeastern University with a double major in Biology and Environmental science in 2017. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Environmental Toxicology Program at the University of California Riverside in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Schlenk and is working with RECOVER to study the molecular mechanisms of cardiotoxicity in oil exposed Red Drum and Mahi-mahi. With a range of interests across the sciences she is excited to be working with such a diverse team and in a complex system like the Gulf.
